Anu Malik confirms that he stepped down as judge of 'Indian Idol'

After a number of sexual harassment allegations were levelled against Anu Malik, the music composer has decided to step down as a judge from the popular reality televisions show, Indian Idol. In his statement, he said, “I have issued a statement to the channel ‘I, Anu Malik, have decided to take a break from Indian Idol as I am currently unable to focus on my work on the show.’The channel has been kind to agree for the same.” Earlier reports suggested that the channel had asked Anu to step down as judge.However, he spoke to BT and confirmed that it was him who had taken the decision to take a break and it wasn’t the channel’s decision.
